Current Responsibilities
Robert Romano joined Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office as a Managing Director in May 2009. Mr. Romano, a veteran in the New York Tri-State area, focuses on transaction management and related consulting services for both national and international tenants.
Experience
Bob came to Jones Lang LaSalle with 30 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, he was a Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was responsible for providing real estate transaction manage-ment and related consulting services to clients with regional, national, and international requirements. He represented several major clients including Prudential Financial and The Interpublic Group of Companies.
Before Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Romano was an Executive Managing Director at Williams Real Estate Co., where he ran the firm’s Corporate Services Group, representing several major clients including Prudential Financial, J.P.Morgan Chase, Zurich North America and The Interpublic Group of Companies.
Mr. Romano’s career in real estate began at The Rockefeller Group, where, as an Assistant Vice President, he was responsible for marketing and leasing of office space in Rockefeller Center, a complex comprising 12 office buildings and approximately 7 million s.f.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Romano is a Certified Internal Auditor and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the City University of New York at Queens College. He also earned his Associate of Arts in International Business Administration from the American College of Switzerland. Mr. Romano is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and CoreNet Global. He is fluent in French.
